Common Problems in the classroom

There are many problems that teachers face  every day in a class. First, we have aggressive students. Aggressive students represent a big challence for the teacher because sometimes they cannot manage this situation. The most common behaviour of an agressive student can be that they do not like teachers call their attetion, and if they do it they do not care about what the teacher is saying, so that is a really uncomfortable enviroment in the class. So the possible solution for this problem can be to create a behavioural reminder. This can help students not to behave in a bad way because the teacher has already established commands in order to avoid those situations.

Another problem is Later Comers. Later comers create a big distraction in the class because the teacher get lost of the points or the instructions they are giving at that moment. So it is really important for teachers to clarify the things students cannot do to avoid this distractions; for example, teachers can give that directions at the beginning of the course.

In addition, there students that are unclear of the things they have to do, or maybe they are
doing something  different of what the teacher tell him or her to do. It is important that teachers make sure that they are giving clear directions, and also if the activity the teacher is developing is too hard to understand for the level the teacher is teaching; for example, if the teachers are working with children they should not use difficult vocabulaty or to use a lot of technical words because in that way children are not going to understand you and they are always be lost during the class. On the other hand, you cannot call the attention to adolescent in the same way as children.
In sum, it is a matter of a good communication between teachers and students to create a good enviroment in the class.

Voice Threat

is really helpful to develop a class. First, Voice thread helps teachers to create an interactive class in which they can upload pictures or documents, record acommpanying audio or video commentary ,and invites others to record commentary as well; in the same way, teachers can encourage their students to create voice thread in order to enrich a topic they have already seen in a class.

Secondly, heps teachers to create virtual tours, report books they have read, comment y historically significants photographs, debate a topic and more things in which they can interact to develop a class.

these are some benefits that voicethread can make in education:

  • Samples submitted by teachers of VoiceThread projects made by their students.
  • VoiceThreads used for professional development.
  • Resources, including other websites that contain VoiceThread examples.
  • Best Practices - tips and ideas of how to best implement VoiceThread in your curriculum.
  • Subject area ideas & examples of those ideas.

To conclude, this skill is really nice not only to have a development of a professional class but also to use it in an important conference or important meetings in education.

Prezi and Power Point presentations are very useful for an English class, but comparing their usefulness prezi is more interactve than Power Point. Prezi is completely free because we can create presentations trough internet without instaling anything, and that is really good for students; also their slides are really creative and it helps students and teachers to have an interesting class; on the contrary, Powerpoint needs a paid application and it is not accessible everywhere.

Moreover, It helps teachers to have their students paying attention because you are using a new skill and you are promoting the use of technology , our students will appreciate the change because nowadays is so common having a presentation with Power Point. To sum up, It is really important to try new things in class and prezi is a different way to teach because It is the most interactive tool we have today.

Here I have a video about Prezi vs Power Point
